mike b started out playing saxophone at the age of 7 studying jazz and learning key fundamentals of theory, harmony, song structure. When Mike attended high school he was encouraged to take up piano lessons after showing keen interest in and out of classes. Studying after only one year Mike was again encouraged to apply for 'Trinity College of Music' as a Junior Student which he would attend every saturday as well as attending his school.
Mike Studied here for 5 years learning Jazz piano and composition bettering his knowledge of chord structure, writing and musicianship. whilst Mike was at Trinity however he moved up to college at the age of 16 and attended in Brighton where he studied Music and Music Tech. Catching Mikes interest Music technology soon started influencing mikes compositions as he found he could do more and more with the sounds he had created.
Blown away by Jazz, break beat, funk and drum n bass mike was swept along by artists such as 'LTJ Bukem and Roni Size who incorporated Jazz and funk influences in to their own music. Never forgetting the greats like 'Bill Evans', 'Duke Ellington', 'Thelonious Monk' and Fats Waller to name a few.
After Mike graduated from College he was keen to further his education in music and more importantly music production.
